samples from FAV III - round one
the last three years of FAV were a huge success. so here's to year number 4!
the guidelines are as follows:
Your Edition: 1) Should contain 20 prints.
2) Should have each print signed, numbered, and titled.
3) Be sealed to prevent water damage in transit.
4) Be something fabulous and funky from your very own hands, employing some method of printmaking.
5) Have a heart or valentine theme somewhere in it.
6) Have at least one color other than black and/or white.
7) Arrive postmarked by 14 February 2007.
Send with your edition:
1) A neatly handwritten or typed address label with your information on it. (I will reuse the envelope you send in if possible.)
2) $2 USD for postage and packaging for returns. ($3 for those outside of the US).

this little photocopy chunky book sports 16 pages by artists from all over. the book is embelleshed with yarns, plastic bits, paper, beads, and various papers. it is bound with a hard plastic comb binding. |

DAD: a postcard project
Theme:
Fathers: what you learned from yours, or what you can learn from a dad, yours or someone else's. This is meant to be a positive memory of some father figure, your own or someone else's. Please illustrate and use words if you would like. You can, if you wish, make art about memories you wish you had with/of your father.
Size:
4x6 postcard size.
Media:
Any media you wish. You may paint, collage, draw, stamp, use Sharpie markers--anything. Just be sure that if it isn't water resistant that you seal it in some way. I recommend clear contact paper. It doesn't wrinkle up like tape, and I believe it is better for your material longevity. You do not have to seal your postcard unless you wish to. You may mail the postcard itself (please be sure your return address is on it somewhere), or you can submit it in another envelope. If you do, please consider including postage for the return of the zine, as well as a neatly handwritten or typed address label for yourself. You may do color or b&w. I will likely do a return in color AND black and white of some kind. Your work may be displayed online, in a gallery, or in a zine.
